SkiGolf Vacations represents a wide variety of lodging properties; including Owner Direct units. Deposit and Cancellation polices may vary greatly between lodging units. In the case of property managers we represent, their website Terms & Conditions change from time to time, so their website will be the final binding policy for their properties. We act as a travel agent representative for their properties and have no control over their terms.
For non-Owner Direct incl property manager properties, we charge a minimum 1st night non-refundable deposit plus tax, by credit card only. For a few properties, there is a 2 night non-refundable deposit. The balance of payment is normally due 45 days prior to arrival (60 days at Christmas, Dec 19-Jan 4). Balance of payment details vary and will be explained at time of booking.
For Owner Direct units, we act as a matchmaking referral service between owner and guest. For all Owner Direct units, we deduct 10 to 15% of the quoted lodging/maid fee total, before tax. The remaining balance is paid directly to the owner, normally by separate check. The SkiGolf deposit works on a 48 hour cancellation basis. (We email the guest all contact info for the owner. If we do not receive a cancellation from the guest within 48 hours, we will assume the guest has contacted the owner and completed the lodging rental agreement.)
Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure Policies
Cancellation policies vary by property. Normally, a reservation becomes fully non-refundable within 45 days of arrival (60 days at Christmas). This is standard resort industry policy. A No Show or Early Departure is considered similar to a short cancellation period, in that all reservation funds become fully non-refundable.
A "No Show" is a guest reservation that has not been checked into by noon the day following the scheduled arrival date. As is standard industry practice, a resort or property manager has the right to re-rent the lodging unit reserved by the original guest, without compensation or refund to the original reservation guest. For guests delayed to arriving the next day, it is critical that you contact the relevant property manager directly. This contact info will be on your Reservation Confirmation email from SkiGolf Vacations.
Accommodation Terms & Conditions:
Although unlikely, occasionally reservations must be relocated. Most property managers reserve the right to change units with like accommodations up to and including the day of arrival. Every effort is always made to honor your original booking. Specific building, unit location or bedding requests cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed as guaranteed. In rare instances, owner units may go off our property manager's rental program. Most property managers have similar units to replace the booking with, but this is not always possible and the original booking may be cancelled, with no compensation.
Amenities such as Hot Tubs, washer/dryers, fireplace, TV /CD, baths, etc are not guaranteed to be in working order during your stay. The property mgr/ owner is responsible for keeping the condo in good working order and will attempt to fix any problems in a timely manner, however they are not required to offer financial compensation.
Every property manager will require a damage deposit upon check-in (or several days before arrival). This is to cover any damage that may occur in your unit during your stay. The deposit is usually taken on the same credit card used to make the reservation. Please ensure you take this credit card on vacation with you. The deposit will be returned once the unit has been inspected and no damage has occurred.
