Minaret Summit Lunch Tour: Mammoth, California. The Mill Café: Mammoth, California. With a new Sundeck sit under a state of the art awning system, this casual eatery at the base of Stump Alley features the signature smells of smoked tri tip and other decadent California BBQ options.

Sierra General Store: Mammoth, California. Conveniently located in the lobby of Mammoth Mountain Inn, Sierra General Store offers a wide selection of snacks, remedies, prepared foods, cheese selection, hand-cut steaks, fresh eggs and an assortment of beverages including beer and wine.

McCoy Station: Mammoth, California. Marketplace Food Court offers sandwiches, organic baked good and daily selection of soups, chili and stews. Steeps Bar is McCoy Station's indoor/outdoor full-service bar. Take a break and enjoy up-front views of the action on the slopes.

Main Lodge: Mammoth, California. Broadway Marketplace offers an array of dining options including, wood fired pizza, sandwiches and organic baked goods.  Enjoy the Mexican station, the grill station with fresh hamburgers, and the salad station with all natural products. There is also the Coffee Bar with the finest fresh ground coffee and espresso drinks.

Canyon Lodge: Mammoth, California. Grizzly Square Food Court offers an array of dining options including, sandwiches, organic baked good and daily selection of soups, chili and stews. There is also the grill stations with fresh hamburgers, the Pan-Asian station with noodle dishes and other Oriental favorites, and the salad station with natural products and other healthy options.

Eagle Lodge: Mammoth, California. Eagle Lodge BBQ offers California BBQ, a coffee bar with light snacks, sandwiches, soups and other healthy menu options and cocktails for you to enjoy on the sundeck.

Mammoth Lakes Art Center: Mammoth, California. Featuring live theatre of the highest caliber with new productions seasonally, the Mammoth Lakes Art Center is located at 549 Old Mammoth Road.

Winter Activities at Mammoth Mountain

Nordic Skiing and Snowshoeing at Tamarack Cross-country Ski Center: Mammoth, California. Nineteen miles of freshly groomed skating, classic, and snowshoe trails await cross-country skiers and snowshoers of all abilities. For Tickets, Lessons and Rentals Call 760.934.5293.

Snowmobiles: Mammoth, California. Snowmobiling is a great way to find fun far from the beaten path. Mammoth Snowmobile Adventures is the perfect outfitter for first-timers or seasoned experts. Experienced guides and top-of-the-line equipment grant you access to thousands of acres of trails, pristine backcountry, spacious meadows, historic landmarks and lush pine forests. Scenic Gondola: Mammoth, California. Don’t Ski but want to go to the top of the sierra at 11,053 feet, take a scenic gondola ride. At the top you will find the Sierra Interpretive Center and the Top of the Sierra Café. With views of the Eastern Sierra landscape - the Minarets, Mono Lake, and 400 miles of peaks averaging 12,000 feet in elevation you will be amazed by what you can see from the top. Gondola passes are available at all lift tickets stations.

Dog sled rides from Main Lodge: Mammoth, Try a Dog sled ride that begin at the Main Lodge, Your tasks are limited to getting comfy on the traditional sled, covering-up with a thick blanket that is provided, screaming "Mush" and enjoying the ride as the malamutes and huskies do their thing. Mammoth Outdoor Ice Rink: Mammoth, California. The Mammoth Ice Rink offers public skating sessions, family skate night, lessons, birthday parties and skate rentals. Mammoth Ice Rink is an ideal way to get outside this winter and have fun. Skating is available to the public from mid-December to Mid/Late March. Call for Hours of Operation 760-934-2505.

Free guided tours on Mammoth Mountain: Mammoth, California

Winter Naturalist tours: 1.5 hour tour to learn more about the Eastern Sierra and Mammoth's natural surroundings. With your board or ski’s take this 90 minute tour and they'll give you inside line on the area, its volcanic background, and maybe even a little bit about the old mines that gave the resort its name. The tours are available from Friday – Sunday, begin at 10:30am and 1:30pm, and meet at the bottom Stump Alley Express.

Explore Mammoth Tours: 2.5 hour tour led by a Mountain Host to introduce you to Mammoth Mountain's vast terrain. The guide will get you up to speed on the layout of the mountain and Mammoth's incredible terrain. Reservations are not necessary, just meet at supersigns located at both Canyon and Main Lodge at 10:15 a.m.

Summer Activities at Mammoth Mountain

Adventure Center: Mammoth, California. The Adventure Center is the headquarters for summer mountain adventures. With bike rentals, ticket and all the gear you will need for a day in the Bike Park, catch the Red's Meadow shuttle or hop on a Scenic Gondola Ride to the top of Mammoth Mountain. Climbers of all ages can test their skills against the giant climbing rock – the staff will teach you the ropes and get you started on the rock. Or try flying high on the Zip Line. The Adventure Center is located at the Main Lodge.

Biking: Mammoth, California. Mammoth Mountain Bike Park has everything from boulder-strewn free ride terrain to smooth dirt paths. With a 100+ miles of dirt single-track and a 3,000 foot Descend from the summit this expansive terrain has something for everyone. The Scenic Gondola provides uphill access for mountain bikers, along with the Bike Park shuttle, which begins in the Village at Mammoth.

Sierra Star Golf Course: Mammoth, California. Sierra Star Golf Course is the highest golf course in California at 8,000 feet above sea level. With snow-capped peaks in every direction, fairways lined with Jeffrey pines and towering red firs with the occasional white tailed deer you won't find a more stunning golf course anywhere. Hiking: Mammoth, California. There are several scenic hiking trails on Mammoth Mountain. Get your free Hiking Guide at the Adventure Center before you board the Panorama Gondola. Dogs on a leash are welcome. Naturalist Tours are complimentary with a Scenic Gondola Ride. The 45-minute tours are offered at 11am and 1pm, Thursday through Saturday and holidays, from July 4th through Labor Day, wind and weather permitting. Fishing: Mammoth, California. Mammoth fishing is world class with a wide variety of healthy mountain trout waiting for you, and a collection of pristine lakes and rivers. Like most great fishing destinations, your chances of are greatly improved with one of the guides. Based out of Wilderness Outfitters, they fish the area every day and have years of local knowledge. Please note - fishing season for the Eastern Sierra is always the last Saturday in April through November 15th.

Visit a ghost town: Mammoth, California. Bodie is a former California mining town, which had a population of about 20 until gold was discovered. Before you could say "Eureka!" about 10,000 people were calling it home. Until the gold ran out. Today, a small part of the town still survives and is preserved in a state of arrested decay. Geocaching: Mammoth, California. Whether you're a Mammoth local or a first time visitor, geocaching is a great way to explore the area. This activity is a high tech GPS treasure hunt, where you find the bootie that was intentionally left behind by fellow geocachers.

Skateboarding: Mammoth, California. The Volcom Skate Park is complete with a giant cradle, a Burnside wall, lumps, humps, a large bowl, and a love seat wall. The 40,00 square foot skate park is one of the best in the country and its completely free.
