Bonfires and Smores in the Village: Copper Mountain, Colorado. After a long day skiing come and warm up around one of the Bonfires placed throughout the Center Village at Copper Mountian. a) Copper Mountain Sleigh Rides: Copper Mountain Sleigh Rides picks you and your group up right from the center village at Copper Mountain. Enjoy the beauty, peace and tranquility of our snow covered Lodge Pole pine forests after dark. Pass by some of the turn of the century gold mines and structures and let your guide tell you stories of the mining days of old. There are 3 different sleigh ride tours to choose from, departing at 4pm, 5:30pm, and 6:30pm, with prices ranging from $25-30 for basic 30 min ride, $50-$55 for 1 1/2 hr Ride & Cocoa/Dessert/singing. b) Two Below Zero Sleigh Rides: Located in Frisco (Take I-70, exit 203, 2 mi south on Hywy 9 to Frisco Nordic Center). Call about transport from/to Copper Mtn. In operation for 25 yrs. Handcrafted sleigh, antique lap robe, handsome team of mules down a secluded, picturesque trail. At the end, you’ll find a warm and cozy camp tucked deep in the forest. Nice Beef/Chicken dinner includes soup/potatoe/pie, hot cocoa & Live cowboy entertainment. Tours Depart at 5:30 and 7:30 daily, with prices of $55 for children (4-12), $84 for adults. c) Nordic Sleigh Rides: Nordic Sleigh Rides is located just outside of Breckenridge. Transportation not included. Santa sleighs pulled by huge Belgian draft horses wearing antique brass sleigh bells. The horses deliver you to a 1860's miners' camp. BBQ chicken or baked salmon dinners complete with hot apple pie.
